Hi Matt -

I would rather send this directly to you, but I couldn't find an email address on your site...

My company builds an add-in for Microsoft Outlook called ClearContext Inbox Manager - I think we do or are working on just about everything in your list. We allow you to assign topics to email threads and automate filing using those topics. Also, you can set up rules to automatically assign topics as email is received. Our views are all built within Outlook, making them fully configurable - so creating views that slice up the data based on topics assigned is very easy.

We're currently working on the next release which will allow easy creation of tasks and calendars items from email messages - preserving the topics assigned - and gives a unified view of every item in the mail file associated with that email/ topic/ etc..

I think this is what you are looking for? If you're an Outlook user I would love to get your feedback on our product. Check us out at http://www.clearcontext.com. For more detail on our future plans, see our product plan at http://blog.clearcontext.com/2005/06/product_plan_v2.html.

Thanks for your time.
